Tell us something about yourself
Actually there is always pretty difficult to tell something about myself, because in artist’s life every single day you can be another person.. At least I consider myself as this kind of person. There are good days, there are bad days, and depending on that you can be the happiest, the most creative, joyful man on the earth, or simply nobody on other circumstances. And photography has a huge influence on that for me.
How and when did you get into photography?
It was about 6-7 years ago when I bought my first DSLR. I simply realized what magic it could be done with it, and everything had started. First books, first online tutorials, documentary and first tries to make something.
What does photography mean to you?
That’s my life, that’s my favourite drug, that’s the best I have discovered in my life.. At least for this moment when I’m 35 years old.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
Everything started from my fine art nudes, artistic nudes.. My audience discovered me in that.. But lately I’ve involved in fashion, portrait photography and doing it now.
Where do you get inspiration from?
Like most of us we have our favourites, photography grands.. The same with me.. I don’t want to mention them now, but.. There are historical, nowadays photography masters, which are best teachers and inspirators for me.
Think you in advance what you want in the picture?
My goal is always to make picture, which would have something more than only satisfaction for the viewer at the moment he looks at the photo.. It has to have the value for long time.
Studio, on location or both?
I do studio photography, but.. Photoshoots on location is much much more interesting, more attractive for me.. There are life, there are history, the are emotions compared to the four Studio walls.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
As it is my full time job for over 3 years now, it couldn’t be called as hobby anymore.
What has been your most memorable session and why?
Actually there is definitelly not one.. Even now after my journey to Bali, I could say that even there I had the most remarkable moments in my life in my photography. And its beacause of my love wild nature, amazing locations there.
What has been the biggest source of inspiration in your work?
Like I’ve mentioned, you got the inspiration from so many spheres.. Its daily life, its your personal emotions and discoveries, the books you read, the movies you watch.. So it is impossible to say what was is the biggest.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
Untill these days I have been working with Nikon system.. But now I feel i want to switch to something else.. Not because of something doesn’t satisfy me anymore, no.. Simply for new feeling.. But it definitelly won’t be Canon, haha.. And what about lenses, I use primes mostly.. 35, 50, 85 mm..
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
Everything will go on, while you have passion in that.. So, just follow your dream.
