Interview: Cover Girl Michalina Cysarz (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I am 22 years old and I am now finishing Marine Acaedmy in Szczecin. I think that my adventure with modelling, as this is how I call it, started 3 years ago and continues till now. I live in small city and my home is nearby a lake, which is really perfect for me as I love quiet and peaceful surroundings. If I had to describe my favourite way of spending free time, that would be a blanket, hot tea, fireplace and good book. Those are the things that suits me the most. But from the other hand I also love movies and meeting with my friends.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I think I would be firmer and I would fight for my dreams more. I am really open-minded person an I can put on my own but I love people and too often I think about them, not myself. I wish I would at least once think about myself – create my bucket list and then make all of my wishes come true.

How did you start modelling?

Two years ago, one photographer in Szczecin (Marcin Łaskarzewski) wrote to me a message an asked me if we can do a shooting. I wasn't too self-confident but it turned out it is a new, amazing adventure. Later on I've met his friends and somehow all of them have become a big part of my life. Moreover, I cannot imagine my life without photos now! Because of them I feel beautiful and sometimes I can see completely different "me". Modelling allows me to play, to get crazy sometimes. Once I am an innocent, young woman, sometimes femme fatale, it all depends on a role I want to play.

What do you think of the work as a model?

As I've said before, thing that I like the most in modelling is playing different roles, being somebody else. I can play and show emotions that I have in my soul. I also love meeting new people, each time I am able to talk with passionate, full of energy and positive people. That is amazing!

What is your beauty regimen?

For a long time I thought that the most beautiful are long-legged blondes with blue eyes – so a complete opposite of me. I've done everything possible to hide my freckles, I haven't known that it would be my strongest point. Now I am a bit more mature and I think the real beauty is to be natural yourself. It is all about the character that makes people beautiful.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am not sure. I think freckles are something that makes me different. I am really energetic person so I think this is another thing that makes me unique.

What are your plans for the future?

At first, end my school. After that with my friend, we plan to travel a bit. Scotland is one of the top places for me, I love it so much and really wish to do some exceptional shootings there. Travels and modelling are something I would love to do in the future.

What are some of your favourite experiences so far?

Being honest my favourite experiences are from "Plener Serduszko" organized by Marta Machej. That was her first event like this, from all over the Poland came a lot of great photographers I wished to meet but was too shy to contact them. On this event I had a great opportunity to cooperate with them and do some projects I've dreamed about for a long time. Everything happened in the mountains so I think that was the best holidays, I've ever had.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

The most important advice is: don't be afraid. If you admire a photographer, don't hesitate to contact him. Sometimes it may turn out that he will be waiting for you as well. The fear is what stops you the most and most probably that would be the only obstacle in making your dreams come true.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it is a phenomenal possibility for models and photographers. Because of your magazine you can meet a lot of amazing and inspiring people. You can also get noticed by others from all around the world! I've first heard about you when one of my friend, a photographer, had an interview and one of my pictures was there! This a great feeling to see your photos in the magazine! Thanks for such opportunity.
