Interview: Model Rachelle Linsey (Netherlands)

Can you tell us a little bit about yourself ?

Of course! My name is Rachelle Linsey. I`m a Dutch girl born in 1999. I am studying for flight attendant. I love going to the gym and making healthy dishes. What I really enjoy is Traveling and seeing new and different places. In the future I would like to combine modelling and my job as a stewardess. I like to be busy with my Instagram and collaborate with companies. Recently, Instagram has become a hobby but I hope to be able to earn money with Instagram in the future.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I am 174,5 cm tall. I would love to be 4cm taller, because than I would have the perfect length for a modelling career.

How did you start modelling?

A few years ago, My sister was scouted in Amsterdam. When she had her intake, I was with her. Her agent told me that I was really beautiful and that I could be a model to. I was 20 kg heavier and didn’t have the sizes of a model. My sister’s agent scouted me too. He told me that I could work as a plus size model. But I decided to lose weight because I didn’t want to be working as a plus size model. After loosing 8 kg in the first month, I was scouted on Instagram by two another agencies. In my opinion, one of the agencies suited me best so I chose working for them. I decided to lose some more weight to become in shape for my modelling career. Six months later, I lost another 12 kg. I arrange almost all of the photo shoots that I have. Today, it’s just a part time job I hope it will be soon a full time job.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I like modelling a lot. Standing in front of the camera, I just like it. Many people think that it is only standing in front of the camera, but you have to train hard for it and your daily schedule will change through it. At the end of a shoot day I am tired and exhausted. It requires a lot of energy from me. When I see the results of a shoot, I am often so happy and that is one of my motivates. The compensation is the second motivation. I also get motivation from myself, because I pursue my dreams.

What is your beauty regimen?

I always make sure to drink a lot of water. I don’t use much make-up and always wash my face with face wash and use the L’Oréal Paris make-up remover. I also use a day cream and a night cream from L’Oréal Paris. For my hair I use the products from Rapunzel of Sweden. The shampoo and conditioner repair my hair and makes it silky. I try to sleep at least 8 hours a day and try to eat as healthy as possible. I like going to the gym three or four times a week and running and power walking in nature.

What are your plans for the future?

I don’t know what the future will hold, but I hope to continue modelling and start working as a flight attendant. Also I want to travel the world for a long time and to start with a Spanish study

What are some of your favourite experiences so far?

My most favourite experience is a shoot that I did for a foundation. The foundation make wishes come true of seriously young ill children. They offer children aphotoshoot. The photos were really beautiful and I also helped a foundation. The name of the foundation is BackToFront Photography and Stichting Achterstevoren from the Netherlands.

What would you like to do in the future as a model?

I hope that I can go to other countries and work there. Also I hope that I can do a really good campaign. A big show would be really nice also.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Always follow your dreams and never give up. You get a no for 99 times but you go for that one yes! So don’t take no for a answer.

Only one person has to have faith in you. Everything is possible if you believe in yourself. Always give it a change before you give up.

I like the magazine. It is a great magazine with a lot of experience from different models, and photographers.
