Bijgewerkt op: 16 jan. 2023

Can you tell us a little about you?

Sure! I am Manon Anne Rosalie, 26 years old and I’m from The Netherlands.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I don’t really want to change anything about myself. I’m happy with who I am and how I look.

How did you start modeling?

When I was 17 years old, a photographer stopped me on the street and asked if I was interested in a photo shoot for a small shop in the town where I lived at that time. It seemed fun so I decided to try it. Couple of weeks later I was looking at a big picture of myself in a shop window. I thought that’s pretty cool and I decided to contact some model agencies. From that moment on, I slowly started to build up my portfolio.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I really love it. In this field of work, you are surrounded with creative people. It’s really interesting to live and walk through the process from beginning to end. Especially when you are working with a photographer who has his own strong style and creative vision. Such photographers can put you through a transformation you never thought of. I find this very inspiring.

What is your beauty regimen?

Well nothing special or specific. Actually, I try to stay healthy in general and I do not do anything to excess. I use natural hair products and try to moisturize my skin a lot.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Recently, I did some shooting on Ibiza. It was a week with a lot of shooting with photographers and having fun with friends. Ibiza is a great island with lots of beautiful places. The setting was very diverse. One day you are shooting in the rugged nature, and the other day you are shooting in a jet set luxury style. That was definitely one of my favorite experiences.

What are your plans for the future?

I love modelling, so I will continue doing this for a while. I’m hoping to get more creative collaborations and meet more interesting and inspiring people to work with. It would be nice to get some more publications in magazines. I want to travel around the world and in the nearby future I want to give yoga classes at home.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

This is a difficult question. However, I don’t really think I have special qualities that distinguish me from other models . I have a very positive energy. Sometimes shoots can take a while and can be very exhausting. But it is important that you keep giving good vibrations at those moments. You are not helping the shoot when your aura is expressing discomfort between shots. With my positive energy, it is easier to end that exhausting photo shoot session with the same positive vibe that it started with.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

I would say do not just shoot with anyone offers a photo shoot session. Instead, only with people who have serious portfolios and more important people you trust.

Besides that, try to feel what you do. The only way to accomplish that is through positivity and being humble. When you are in front of the lens try to immerse yourself into the look that the photographer wants to accomplish. If it was not clear what you should do, do not hesitate to ask ‘’What should I feel in this shot and how do you want me to express that?’’

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it is a great magazine. It supports both the starters and professionals. It is very rare to see that combination. But by doing so, the threshold for starters will change, and that’s a good thing.
