I’m 43 years old. I was born and lived in Ukraine, Kyiv. And last 4 years I live in Germany, in Marburg.

How and when did you get into photography?
I would say, I’m quite new in photography. 2 years ago I came to New York for studying in New York Film Academy and after this I made decision to develop myself as photographer.

What does photography mean to you?
I think, it’s my way to speak with World, to show, what is important for me, what I like/dislike, my social position.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
Im mostly portrait photographer. But I like to try new things. Sometimes I shoot fashion, sometimes documentary (The one of my the best documentary was project with Dalai Lama - His Holiness is one of the most inspired people in the world for me) I’m not very good with nature and with Architecture, I much more interested to shoot people.

Where do you get inspiration from?
Mostly From classical Artists. But sometimes I can get inspiration from totally simple things.

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?
I want to show, how I see this World to other people.

Studio, on location or both?
I have great studio in Marburg and love to work there, but sometimes I need to go out, to find new places, new light.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

What has been your most memorable session and why?
Oh, a lot of them. I’m lucky to work a lot with very interesting people, as ballet dancers, actors, sportsmen. And I get great inspiration from them.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
Canon, for Portraits - Canon 85 mm. For Stories Sigma Art 35mm.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
Follow the light.

What do you think of our new magazine?
I think, it’s great idea to show new photographers and models around the Europe. And I happy to tell a bit about me and to show some my works to colleagues. Thanks for this opportunity.
