Interview: Model Diana Dobrea (Romania)

5 Apr 2020

Can you tell us a little about you?

I’m Diana, i live in Bucharest, Romania but I often travel whether it’s for shootings or just for vacation. I have been working as a full time freelance model since 2018.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Mentally to be braver. Phisically nothing.

How did you start modeling?

Quite randomly actually. A very talented photography duo found me on social media and asked if I’d accept to shoot a nude pictorial with them. I accepted thinking it’s gonna be just a couple of pictures I will look at when I’ll be old and wrinkly. It turned out to be something I loved so much that I haven’t stopped doing it ever since. But I am a firm believer  everything happens for a reason.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I truly believe you mustn’t take yourself so seriously all the time. You must have fun with it but at the same time respect the time of the people you work with as well as yours.

Therefore, being punctual, respectful and a pleasant company is important for me.

At the same time I believe this job is not for everybody, you must have a bit of craziness inside of you to be able to succeed at it, to keep you sane and to keep you grounded.

What is your beauty regimen?

I don’t do anything specific besides taking care of my skin religiously, drink a lot of water go to the gym.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am quite terrible at talking about myself but I think I am somebody you can count on. Once I give you my word I will go above and beyond to keep it.

What are your plans for the future?

Although I never make future plans I truly wish I will travel the world and move in each city that I fall in love with for a couple months.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

My favourite thing I get to experience on this modeling journey of mine is meeting new people all the time. I love listening to their story, their background, culture and how they fell in love with photography. There is nothing more pure than the glistening eyes of an artist speaking about what he or she loves doing.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Always listen to your intuition and chose the right people to start with because that very first contact with this industry makes a huge impact on how you will perceive it.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it is a fantastic idea. It’s very well put together. A good source of inspiration, talent, and good reads.
