Interview: Photographer Flavia Raddavero (France)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I was born in Argentina long time ago! After leaving in San Francisco for many year, life brought me to Paris, France. I have my own studio and I work mainly in fashion, beauty but not only...

How and when did you get into photography?

I discovered photography once in Usa. I took a class by coincidence in the university and felt in love with. Since then never stopped.

What does photography mean to you?

I don't imagine my life without photography. It is my passion, job. It is creative and fun. Never get tired of.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

I work mainly in fashion, beauty , portraits but this does not means that I don't do other types of photography. For example products, landscapes, culinary.

Where do you get inspiration from?

Inspiration is everywhere, you just have to have your mind and eyes open. Someone walking on the street ,an airplane in the sky, I really let my mind wander around quite easily.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture ?

It all depends. Sometimes I think of something and then when I get to the shooting I do exactly the opposite of what I had plannified. When working with clients , we try to have a moodboard and follow as close as possible but you never know, sometimes even with clients we go crazy.

Studio, on location or both?

Both!! I love working in my studio but it is so much fun going places to work too. So yes, both for me.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

Working in commercial projects with clients is a paid professional job, landscapes are more for hobby.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

In fact, I don't think I have one special. Because for me, each shooting is memorable,

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start

their own business?

Photography can be hard sometimes. You have to be patient and believe in your work. Always be a professional but don't take yourself too seriously

What do you think of our new magazine?

I think the magazine has a great concept. Showing a great variety of works. Great job!!!
