Interview: Cover Girl Nicoline Sophie (Denmark)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I’m born in 1997 and live in Copenhagen with my boyfriend. I work as an ambassador and hostess for various companies. In addition, I work as freelance model and influencer. I have a past in the army as a soldier and as a prison guard but now I study event coordinator. In 2013 I had my first photoshoot, then I had a long break and in September 2019 I started modeling again and I love it. I am not good at doing nothing, I like to challenge myself and I love to spend time with my friends and family.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

After 22 years I have learned to love myself and all my imperfections. I don’t want to be like anybody else. But if I should say something, I want braces on my teeth so I could get straight teeths.

How did you start modelling?

I was at my first shoot in 2013. I participated in an event “model for a day”.I did this for 2 consecutive years and after this I went to some few shoots on my own. Then I had a long break in high school. In 2019 I saw a post on Facebook, a photographer who was searching for models for his portfolio. I contacted this photographer and after this shoot it went fast. In 2019 and 2020 I have been on photoshoots on a weekly basis and worked with a lot of talented photographers in Denmark.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I am still in the beginning of my model carrier and it is hard work. I am not working in a modeling agency and I don’t have a signed contract. I have to find my own jobs and I have to promote myself. I love all about it and I wouldn’t be without any of my experiments. It has made me confident in myself and I have learned a lot about myself. I have found my own limits and learned to relax.

What is your beauty regimen?

I go for long walks with my dog and do weekly workouts. I cook healthy food every evening, but I also love cozy and party times. I love to get my nails and lashes done and have some “me time”. I look after my face and body every day with creams and wax exc.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am a very honest person and I expect other people to be honest with me too. I am very smiling and positive. I have a drive and a go-on attitude

What are your plans for the future?

My dreams for the future are to finish my education as event coordinator. Then I want to be the CEO of my own company one day. I want to keep my model jobs and I hope my model carrier will keep on growing.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I have had a lot of good acquaintances and friendships, both models, photographers and make-up artists. It makes me happy when talented people can see the potentials in me and want to spend their time on me. I feel so privileged. I love to plan a shoot with a purpose ex to get some pictures in a magazine, and then see the result in the printed magazine in the end. It’s the best feeling.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

You have to feel confidence in yourself all the time, if not then say something! Keep going even in the hard times. Just do it. Challenge yourself.Learning by doing. Most importantly, love what you are doing. Take one day at a time.

What do you think of the magazine?

I love it. I like to read about other models around the world. It is a great inspirational magazine.
