Interview: Model Eva Cywinski (Belgium)
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
To be honest, nothing. I don’t consider myself as perfect - nobody is, but every little thing about me makes me ME. With time, I’ve learned to love myself and accept everything, the good and the bad, both mentally and physically.
How did you start modelling?
I started modeling when I was 15, in Singapore. Being tall (for there, I’m 1m69) and blond (yes, my natural hair colour is blond!) was definitely a big plus! I stopped when I came back to Europe then started back again a few years ago, in Belgium.
What do you think of the work as a model?
This isn’t my job, it’s more a hobby, or even a passion. I think it’s a really tough and dangerous job, you really have to be careful of who you work with and to not be taken advantage of.
What is your beauty regimen?
Well, to be honest I don’t work out (but I really should, it’s good for your health both physically and mentally). I haven’t been eating healthy either these past weeks but I’m starting today (I promise). The only thing that I can say is I switched to vegan/organic products (both for my skin and hair) and I can really see the difference: my skin is so much clearer and smooth and my hair got stronger!
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I think I am a very compassionate person, and even though it might be the cause of my downfall I wouldn’t change it for the world: this is me, I care a lot about people and will always do my best to be there for those I love.
What are your plans for the future?
I currently work as a copywriter in an advertising agency, and I plan to better myself and who knows, maybe one day open my own with my best friend. Overall, all I want is to be happy and with those I love.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
I became more and more picky with the photographers I work with because since it’s not my job and I do it as a hobby, I want to do projects I like, to have fun and work with a nice, respectful photographer.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?
If you want to be a freelance model, try to always be with someone you know for a first shoot with a photographer: if he/she says no, don’t go. He/she clearly was up to something.
What do you think of the magazine?
This magazine is a great way of discovering new talents and to know more about them!
