Interview: Model Anna Aksamit (Poland) (Winner of the month)
Can you tell us a little about you?
Let’s start with the basics: my name is Anna Aksamit and I was born in Poland, or more precisely - Warsaw. Nowadays, describing who we ‘truly’ are is quite a difficult task. Every aspect of our identity is constantly changing so rapidly. I am a sensitive person, this is something I can surely state. I have been traveling since 5 years all around the world with my modeling contracts. Currently I am living with my adorable cat in Milan, Italy. I cannot choose words that could actually describe who (or what) I actually am.
How did you start modelling?
Beginning of my modelling experience started with a firm decision to change my life – I wanted to feel good in my own body, explore the world and overcome personal insecurities. Basically – to get out of the circumstances I found myself in. After graduating high school I was found by a scout from Poland on the Instagram.
What do you think of the work as a model?
I would call my work… crazy. It’s so full of various contradictions and injustices… At the same time modelling can expose to a person what hard work really is (in case you wanted to verify it – stand in front of a mirror and try changing clothes quickly for about 8 hours). This profession gives you the opportunity to learn more about yourself, the world, and people in general (regarding both their good and bad sides). This career is also full of different ‘pitfalls’ one needs to consider.
What is your beauty regimen?
My beauty regimen is coming from my mother’s early instructions which were: ‘Ania, always remember to moisturize your face with cream!’. That’s basically it.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
My eyes (and their frames), the tone of my voice and my character.
What are your plans for the future?
Most importantly - health and happiness. When it comes to my professional plans, I would like to create things basing on my own concepts, to switch roles and stand behind the camera. I have plenty of ideas. Vector graphics is one of them. I know that I need to be on the set. I understand the industry. I also want to challenge myself with video editing. Ask me next year.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
This is a great topic for a book.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?
Well, they would be as follows: 1) ALWAYS Read agency contracts !!! 2) Don’t be afraid to ask questions, especially when something isn’t clear for you 3) Fight for you rights 4) Never ever give up.
What do you think of the magazine?
It has a significant potential. It’s amazing that models finally have an opportunity to express themselves and prove that we are something more than ‘walking hangers’ or ‘runway horses’, as the public likes to put it. This magazine could be a breakthrough in the fashion world. Thanks for providing me with an honor to contribute.
