Interview: Model Rita Rinaldi (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Rita, Iam 25 years old, I’m from puglia and I study modern languages and literature at the University of Ferrara. I love travelling, I like music and going to concerts. At the age of sixteen I discovered that I had a genetic disease, which, for three years, brought me in a wheelchair. Life has taken away the possibiliity of being able to walk alone and, from here. I took the COURAGE, that maybe I hadn’t before, to face it with new eyes. Since 2018 I have eentered the world of fashion, shooting and catwalks.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Mmm, that’s a good question! I don’t know what I would change in my life. I probably would have made choices that were quite different from the ones I made. However, if it had really gone differently, perhaps in my road I would not have had the opportunity to know certain people and particular situations, good or bad..

How did you start modelling?

I started by doing a charity show.

What do you think of the work as a model?

Like any other kind of work, even the role of model holds great satisfaction and at the same time leads you to face your limits.

What is your beauty regimen?

Must have: genuineness.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

Having courage, despite the difficulties that life poses to me, is certainly the weapon that distinguishes me from others, seizing every moment as something precious.

What are your plans for the future?

Graduation is definitely the goal to reach, the rest is all to be discovered.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

An experience on a cruise alone, a new year with unknown guys, the shooting in the gallery of Ferrara with the professional photographer Luca Bartoli.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

My advice is to let you feel free to give vent to your character, without limiting you for fear that someone may judge you: the freedom to express yourself will be the real strong point.
