Interview: Model Wianamodel(Icelandic woman living in Denmark)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I’m Wiana, a 24-year-old Icelandic woman living in Denmark. I’ve been a freelance model for almost two years now.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I see everyday as chance for me to improve myself. But currently my biggest focus is to get more toned muscles, stretching and doing yoga to improve flexibility.

How did you start modelling?

I got a lot of TFP offers and decided to give it a shot. So I started with local photographer for a fashion shoot, and found out that I liked it and had an eye for it. So I did some more, and now I only do paid bookings.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I love everything about it, it allows me to be creative in a different way.

What is your beauty regimen?

I haven’t done much for my look, but recently started stretching out a lot more, and hitting the gym twice a week if possible.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I always see the positive in things. My energy is somewhat special and is quite explosive, always laughing.

What are your plans for the future?

I’m currently planning on getting more into the business, and hope to travel a lot more this year on tour, and collaborate with many more photographers internationally.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Favourite experience yet is the duo workshop I went on last year to the UK.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Don’t wait, but be sure if it’s what you want. You definitely need know where your boundaries are, what kind of work you want to do and how serious you are about the work in it. A lot of it is administratively and you have to be very active on social media and different platforms. Remember to be your own biggest fan!

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it’s a really great possibility to explore other models and photographers work. Great place to find inspiration.
