Interview: Photographer Jussi Ketola (Finland)


Can you tell us a little about you?

I’m passionate portrait photographer and retoucher from Finland.


How and when did you get into photography?

I got my first camera when I was 15 years old.

What does photography mean to you?

To make woman look beautiful, aesthetic and precious in portrait photography.


Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

Style of my portraits is simple, elegant and emphasizes beautiness of women.


Where do you get inspiration from?

I have my favourite portraits photographer thae inspires me a lot.

Do you think in advance what you want in the picture?

Always, it’s important to listen models opinion and make decisions together about portraits.


Studio, on location or both?

Mostly in studio but I should take more on location.


Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

I think semi-professional hobbyist.


Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

Sony and 85mm


What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

Very important thing in portrait photography is learn competent skills of retouch wtih Photoshop.
