Interview: Model Fabiana Farina (Italy) Cover Girl lookbook special

Can you tell us a little about you?

Since I was 16 I've been working and studying to look after myself.

I've graduated at “istituto tecnico A. Oriani” and then I've worked as an accountant for two years.

How did you start modeling?

At that time I never thought I'd come to work as a model, it actually happened quite unexpectdly.

After a friend of mine shared a picture of me on instagram I've been noticed and I've entered this world.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I consider myself a versatile person. Some think of me changed during this year and are still changing also because this job. Which I wouldn't really define “job”, it means a lot more for me.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I like to travel around and meeting people, to know and to live stories. All of this to grow as an individual. Modelling is mostly made of these things.

What is your beauty regimen?

I try to avvoid gyms and follow a stricht pizza diet. And a lot hours of train travelling for test my patience.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I always try to bring emotions in photographs and to give them a meaning on each different set, and that's also how I live my life.

When I'm shooting I can easly not be myself and be it. I put masks on or off. It's a medicine for me and a lovely game.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to finish the university and maybe to find a job modeling-related.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Every experience so far has been importart in it's own way, the people I've met have been the most significant part of it all. I worked for different brands handmade or not and online or printed magazines, I did fashon editorials and each time I tried to be the right person for the job required. I think this is my “secret” when I'm posing.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

I think it is a wonderful experience to know better your limits, and to appreciate yourself more. Everybody can posing, the important is to find the best of yourself and how to express it. It's not necessary to like yourself in a picture what metters is that it results beliveable and contextualized. Enjoy every moment you can change yourself in front of the camera.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think this magazine is a great way to be known not only for the image but also the story of the person behind the photo.
