Interview: Photographer Guido Martirani (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I'm from Rome,Italy, and I just try to survive in this crazy years

How and when did you get into photography?

If I have to think about it I think I always had a passion for images, for any type of visual art, but I found the way of photography after trying different ways.

I think that understanding which one is way to realize themselves is one of the hardest things and I found photography just before the age of 30.

What does photography mean to you?

Into photography I look for what I do not have, what I may never have, what is not there

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

Sorry but I just can not answer to this, I really dont know, but I hope you can find any kind of stimulus, something that can partially share my vision of the situation.

Where do you get inspiration from?

I think that each of us is both consciously and unconsciously the result of everything that visually assimilates during the days, processes it and interprets it.

I naturally get ispiration from the great photographers that i follow on web

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

If in need to say it in a fews words i say any kind of vibes

Studio, on location or both?

Both for sure

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

I try to survive whit photography and I think that it is the only way for me at now, and unfortunatly for me I know this. If you do your best to do what you belive and someone belive in your views it is right to paid you.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

Sorry but this is my secret, I cant say this on public ;)

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

It's like a Mac or Pc? A story from long time ago. I use Canon but the choice was random from the start. I really think the type of camera is the last thing do you need to do a great shoot

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

Prepare to suffer, sincerely, but dont give a fuck about it, belive in yourself and enjoy.

What do you think of our new magazine?

I know this magazine not for a long time but I like it a lot and I think it is modern and nice to read. I am very happy to be part of it
