Interview: Model Cintia Örvendi (Hungary)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Cintia Örvendi. I am from the heart of Europe, Hungary. I am a model for 8 years and since that I had the chance to prove myself in various international, and local events. Probably the most notable was that in the February of 2018 I worked as a model in the London Fashion Week.

Beside modeling I am an economist. I finished my Master studies two years ago. Since that I am a self entrepreneur – I build my own event organizer business.

My ever favourite hobby is aerobics. Both my mother and my older sister are in that field of sports and as a family heritage I joined them, when I was a child.

Additionally I like to spend my free time in the nature: to try new sport activities, and to hike. Fortunately there are a lot of different and amazing landscapes, which I still haven’t visited yet.

Lastly I had the honor to become the ambassador of the Foundation for the Children with Leukemia in Debrecen (2nd largest city Hungary). I was able to help to organize fundrasings to improve their living conditions, and continuosly I represent their interest in several events.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

The only thing I would like to change about my appearance is the length of my hair. Despite I am very proud about my hair, I would like to grow it a just a bit longer (10-15cm).

I think you should always thrive to be a better person. You have to try new things and you should never stop learning. Unfortunately I merely got enough time for that, therefor I would like to change that and create a habbit for a never ending learning habbit.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I smile all the time- not just in front of the cameras. I think if you smile to the world, it will smile back, with an even brighter smile.

I am humble, and I try to make a world a better place to live in – that is why I am glad that I could be the ambassador of the mentioned Foundation.

Finally, there is nothing impossible for me: if I aim a new goal, there is nothing that could stop me from reaching it.

How did you start modeling?

I can still recall the moment when the idea of my first photoshoot came up. I was at a fitness and healthy lifestyle event with my family. After 4 hours of travel and 6 aerobic class I joined in, I was completely tired. I visited a stand to taste a new and healthy cake, just to restore my energy. While I was there a couple stopped and asked me if I was interested in a photoshoot, because they just launched a new fitness equipment, and they are currently looking for models to promote their product. I was more than shocked, but within a month I had my very first work as a model.

What do you think of the work as a model?

For example most of the time a photoshoot take about 14-16 hours. During that time you should be focuse in every minute, smile without stopping it even for a second and try to help the work of the team by improving the quality of the work. Furthermore most of the time you have no time to eat or drink during a session like that.

Despite these “negative factors” I am always keen to work with new teams, because I like to meet with new and talented people and to see the result of our hard work.

It always makes me proud whenever a friend or a family member mention, that they saw my smile in an advertisement.

What is your beauty regimen?

I think proper eating is the most crucial part of being a model. My rules are:skipping sugar and cooking for myself whenever it is possible.

My favourite healthy food is chicken and fish salad, therefore I make it at least once a week.

Next to eating I train at least 4 times a week: running, aerobics and training with weights.

Lastly I always clean my face before going to sleep: first with a natural makeup remover cream and after that with cold and refreshing water.

What are your plans for the future?

I would like to get more and more model experience from different segments of the world. This way I would be able to learn the essential of various cultures.

Furthermore as I mentioned before I am building my company, and I am eager to make it successfull and acknowledged.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

  • Traveling: I was able to travel to Washington in June (thanks to an exhibition). It was a completely new and magnificient experience, after living and working in Europe.

  • Modeling: In the begining of 2018 I was able to be a part of a hungarian sport brand’s campaign. The photos were used both online (for advertising and in webshops) and offline (booklets and posters).

  • Event organising: I organised a wedding for a hungarian and israel couple, which was not just a big success for me, but since that the couple writes to me to thank that I made their big day to their best day ever.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

If you decide to start a model career you have to be patient, humble and you must keep it up! First of all you have to do works even for free, in order to have a complete portfolio, which you can use to apply for model agencies.

Lastly, never give up your goals!

What do you think of the magazine?

I think the Modellen Land Magazine is amazing because it joins the model industry with people who are interested in it. It gives insights and opportunities for everyone!
