Interview: Model Kate Bazylevitch (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I am Katerina Bazylevitch and I am from Belarus. Currently, I live in Katowice, Poland. I moved here a few years ago to start my studies. I study tourism, work as a bartender and do modeling in my free time. I am 23 years old.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

When I was younger, I was convinced that I have a lot of flaws and was constantly trying to change something to feel and look better. But later I’ve realized, that I should not change myself so others would like me. That’s why now I’m focused on personal development and no longer look for flaws. I accept myself and my own unique beauty.

How did you start modeling?

When I was a little girl, I loved to read my mother’s fashion magazines. I was amazed by how models look in couture dresses. As a teenager, I was surfing the web and reading basically everything about modeling and fashion world. I also realized that professional modeling is hard work that demands a lot of time and effort. I always wanted to try modeling and recently a friend of mine invited me to attend modeling school where I figured out, that I really enjoy this and want to do it in my life.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I think it’s a very interesting and demanding job. You should always look and behave flawlessly. It’s also a great opportunity to meet talented, creative, kind and forward-thinking people. It is a great experience and might be my true passion.

What is your beauty regimen?

I don’t think there are special beauty secrets. You have to drink more water, eat fresh fruit and vegetables, always use moisturizers with UV and UA filters. It’s very important to love and accept ourselves and to care about our bodies.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am a very friendly and easy-going person, I try to avoid conflicts and being late. It helps me a lot in meeting new friends. I think that’s why people smile when they meet me. This is the best sign of appreciation.

What are your plans for the future?

I want to grow as a model, travel more and discover new cultures.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I was very inspired and impressed by my latest trip to Venice. I fell in love with this city, its cozy streets, channels, unbelievable views and incredible romantic atmosphere. Maybe it’s not for living on a constant basis, but I was inspired for many months by this trip.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

The main this no to be scared to try yourself in different looks and always being yourself. You have to be prepared, that you will work hard and there will be always someone who will criticize you. You may not pass every single casting and hear “no” many times. But you shall never give up.

What do you think of the magazine?

It’s a very interesting and beautiful project. It’s a perfect magazine for models. Thank you for an opportunity to be a part of it!
