Interview: Photographer Nicole Pizzetti (Italy)
Can you tell us a little about you?
I'm 22 years old and I live in Carpi, Italy. I've studied art in High School specialzing in architecture, because I wanted to study Cinema Scenography in Milan at Accademy of fine art Brer . I was conscious of tecnical ability to project space need's this way of art. Once I got to Milan I relized that peraphs it wasn't for me. I needed some of different. So I dropped out of college with the idea of follow my penchant for politics in Bologna's College. While I was getting ready to entry text I started to work in a little photography's studio as assistant. For the first time in my life I feel the backside of a camera and something has changed the rule of my world. Few month later one of my firts photographer (when I began a photomodel), Maurizio Bresciani was in search of an assistant and I flew to him. Because he was and still is one of my favourite photographers in Italy. I'm glad to have a master like him and every day he gives me the possibility to grow up. Even I make videos, for now fashion video for some brands but soon I will begin to record my firts short film series.
How and when did you get into photography? I start really to get photography about 18 month ago, but I start work on the set at 16 years old. Now, I be able to describe how I get into photography only in phisical side, which are outlined above. I think that the "how" start when I began to see the light. An ordinary day I started to see the light but in a different way. The light brought me to see in another way, as never before.
What does photography mean to you?
I don't give a special mean to photography, I just live it. That's like when you fall in love you don't give them some means. You just feel it and you don't know what it could be but that's it. What about to do something meaningful?
Briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
I'm not certaint to have one style, because I'm in flux, a contnuous change. I think the better word is : metamorphic.
Where do you get inspiration from? Literally from everywhere, from the books to the paintings. On the magazine or other photographer's works, even in the dreams. Because as I wrote, metamorphosi's process conquers all and the initial idea is changed in the end.
Think you in advance what you want in the picture?
In advance I just think to the mood, the atmosphere.
Studio, on location or both?
Both. I think the place depends by the idea. I'm moody. I like to shoot in location because is kind an adveture, the wether can give you beautiful skyes and lights and even terrible cloudy. However I like shoot in studio because you decide the light how, when, which and it's magic but very difficult even. I have see more good location's photography than good studio's photography. Fortunately I have the wonderful lights master.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
I'm a paid professional even if to beginnings. And I'm a professional in Italy so pray for me guys...
What has been your most memorable session and why?
My most memorable session was when I went in Milan to work at Gaudi's Campaign. Maurizio Bresciani was and still is the principal photography of Gaudi, so I went with him. I did the backstage video's of both Gaudi's fashion line. When I was in Hotel I just felt entusiastic, excited, confused, frightened, tired and finally magnificently proud and grateful to live such experience.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
Canon side, baby. But you never know in life. Lens? 50mm because this one have a special mean for me.

I love your magazine because it makes connections promoting new artists. Even I love that is free and avaible to anyone.
