Interview: Photographer Ama Caporrimo (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? I'm Amedeo “ Ama “ Caporrimo and i'm an Italian photographer based in Milan – Italy. How and when did you get into photography? About 7 years ago, year after year my passion as increased and I started the journey towards the professional path as a photographer and retoucher. Now I dedicate myself totally to this, i love to create.

What does photography mean to you? Photography it's my life, i really like the emotions it gives to me, i love especially when people appreciate what I do, it's very important for me to have a positive vibes from people. It is the drive to do better and better.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers. I'm a minimalist, I love symmetries, color contrasts, capture the emotions and above all to give emotions to the observer.

Where do you get inspiration from? Nature and beauty are my sources of inspiration, I love playing with everything that can inspire me.

Think you in advance what you want in the picture?

I want emotions, only this

Studio, on location or both? Absolutely on location, i love the natural light, landscapes, rivers, lakes, hills, fields, sea.

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

It's not importart what i think about me, it' s important what people think and often and I am always considered as a professional photographer.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

One of the most beautiful was a session in which we rebuilt a lake in a bathtub,because it was a very studied and exciting job.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens? I'm a nikonist, but I think the equipment is not important, it is important who is behind the equipment

i like so much the 50mm f1.4 the 85mm f1.8 and the 70/200mm f2.8.

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business? Passion and sacrifices, dedication, love and everything will be fine.
