Interview: Model Juliett Smt (Germany)

Can you tell us a little about you?

Hi, my name is Juliett, I am a photographer, programmer and hobby art model from Germany. I use photography on both sides of the camera as a nice getaway from office work and to realize my vivid visual dreams. I have my own company http://evehive.com helping family businesses around the world to compete with large global mammoths.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

Work less and live more. I know I will regret it down the road.

How did you start modeling?

Hah. I don’t know. Probably lack of available (free) models for my own artworks? Then I was curious what could other artists achieve with me and wanted to see how they do their specific art to learn more.

What do you think of the work as a model?

Being it only a hobby, I only seem to enjoy the better part of it - so I cannot complain or appraise it, really. But I’ve seen it from both sides of the camera. It is not a simple job and it is especially mentally very demanding. It is very underrated job for the effect it has on the world if I can say.

What is your beauty regimen?

Sleep, eat healthy and balanced. I also turned my chores and daily activity into an exercise instead of going to gym. You would be surprised how much calories you can burn if you just skip one bus station or not using an escalator :-).

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I would not say distinguish, but I would love to see more motivation for common things by young people. I remind me to stay motivated not only for the glitter and beauty. I also enjoy stepping out of my comfort zone and try things I know I will never do again. Girls? Try to spend a weekend with your car or fix your laptop. Build your own beauty table instead instagraming bought Xmass decoration. You will be amazed what world has to offer beside mirrors and various shades.

What are your plans for the future?

Family! I also want to experiment more in my shootings in front and behind the camera and further improve my gallery. Aside of the regular demanding job of course.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

You mean as a model? Selfish me probably being recognized on art exhibition by a long year collector and patron of my work. But having my work auctioned for a good cause at amounts I could not even dream of blinds me with tears.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

Do not turn your life around the fact that you want to be a model. It is the best hobby but a very tough profession.

What do you think of the magazine?

It is unique and producers are very consistent and dedicated. It is very fresh and unique compared to other fast-paced mainstream beauty media.
