Interview: Model Anna-Lena Meyer (Germany)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I´m a twenty eight years old german model and live with my two cats near Frankfurt am Main. I started modeling a little over seven years ago.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I don´t think I would change anything about myself, because I think that someone can like me with all my imperfactions and it´s better to feel good about myself.

How did you start modelling?

Like I said in the beginning, I started modeling a little over seven years ago through a friend of mine. At first as a hobby and later on as a parttime job. It grew bigger over the years and allowed me to visit other countries and meet interesting people. It´s a tough buisness and you must invest a lot of time to get jobs and expand your portfolio.

What do you think of the work as a model?

It can be bit superficial at times, but it is also very creative work. You can slip into many different roles.

What is your beauty regimen?

Maybe I´m not a prime example of a healthy lifestyle. I can finish a whole bag of candy in one evening, but I ride my bicycle to work and walk up three flights of stairs several times a

day to get from work to my apartment.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I try to put my whole heart into everything I do and to also do my best at every job. I´m reliable and I do nothing what I don´t want to do. I think it´s important that you have fun at work and don´t just pretant like you do.

What are your plans for the future?

I don´t realy have any big plans for the future yet, but I hope that I can work as a model a little longer.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I don't really have a single favourite experience, it's a little bit of everything: Different and new Locations, traveling to cities in Germany and abroad for workshops and shootings, and of course the many creative minds that I get to meet and develop friendships with.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

There is a lot of competition in this industry. Be confident, natural and stay positive.

What do you think of the magazine?

I didn´t know the magazine before, but I´m happy to be a part of it and I really like the opportunity to get to know more models and photographers.
