Interview: Model Lorenza Rogna (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you? I’m Lorenza, I’m 25 years old and I’m a student of Biology at the University of Genoa. I enjoy doing many things including: acting, painting, playing the piano and singing. In short, I like to test my skills in various fields. I started to model since I was 17 and I've found in photography a way to express myself. Photography was for me the way to meet fantastic people, with whom I established a beautiful friendship.

Another passion of mine is makeup: in fact I worked as a make-up artist in many occasions. I like playing with colour as well as playing with emotions, I love to convey on a canvas what I feel in a specified moment.

Posing as a model gives me the opportunity to play a character. I like very much when there is a feeling between photographer and model, so that a magical atmosphere is created.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be? I would change my shyness and my indecision.

How did you start modeling? I started to be a model when I was 17. I worked with Eugenio De Vena and and now we are friends.

What do you think of the work as a model? I think it is a very hard job but that can give very enjoyable times. It always asks you to get involved and test yourself: it is very stimulating.

What is your beauty regimen? For me it is very important to take care of yourself. I try to train, drink water and eat regularly (I don't say eat healthy because I get off on many times). In addition, I also take care of my body using cosmetics.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others? I don't know exactly, but I always try to improve myself.

What are your plans for the future? The biggest project is to graduate, which is going to happen on the 19th of March 2020. After that I'll see what the future holds for me! I would still like to work in the artistic field, as a model or actress.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far? One of the most beautiful experiences lived so far is shooting with Rossella Gueli. A beautiful bonding was immediately established that allowed us to make splendid shots. Working with Mario Boccuni was also very stimulating: it allowed me to also work as a makeup artist.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling? For me to be a model would be appropriate to know ourselves, therefore to have a great desire to get involved without ever stopping.

What do you think of the magazine? I think it's really nice that there is such a curated magazine that caters to emerging artists. Usually are published works of famous people: thanks to you also other talented people have the chance to emerge. I thank the whole editorial staff.
