Interview: Model Oborina Irina (Ukraine)

Can you tell us a little about you?

Hello everyone, friends. My name is Irina Oborina. I am a model from Ukraine. I have high judicial education. My roots are from Ukraine, Russia and Poland. I love outdoor activities, running and playing yard football with the guys. Also I can’t imagine my life without travelling, only when I travel I feel absolutely happy, free and inspired. I was worked like as a model in Turkey, China, India, Poland and Italy.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

As for me, in any situation you need to remain yourself. Another issue is working on yourself, it is worth developing the best and leadership qualities in yourself, but changing something is not! I’m not cheating on myself

How did you start modelling?

My story is pretty banal. And yet I believe that chance is not accidental. The director of the modeling agency noticed me just on the street, before that there were no such thoughts that I can work as a model and I have all qualities for this

What do you think of the work as a model?

As usually, people have opinion that the model job is easy.. But as for me, being a model is hard moral first of all. You go to work and get paid at the end of the month. Routine, but stability and carelessness. The models do not. It depends on many factors — whether the designer will like you, whether you will get into a good agency, how your type will work, and so on. It's a shame when they say that models have easy money. In winter, we photograph summer things, in summer we photograph fur coats in 30-degree heat, flights, lack of sleep. I also want to note that 70% of my success is determined by her face, the remaining 30 by her character and ability to get along with people. For example, casting is like conducting business negotiations. You need to be able to correctly present yourself. Therefore, the work of the model is a tremendous work.

What is your beauty regimen?

I will not have many tips here. Only two minimum cosmetics, maximum naturalness and sleep are the best beauty products. It is the dream that restores our internal forces and reserves of the body and replenishes us with energy

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am honest, and honesty in our time is on the verge of extinction

What are your plans for the future?

Sometimes I think I’ll work a couple of years, that's all. I want to have a family. Or at least a guy, which in the conditions of constant trips, unfortunately, is impossible. But this is just a passing weakness. I know myself, I will not go astray until I succeed. But still, if we talk about long-playing plans, I would like to have my own art space in the future, where it was possible to bring together creative and talented people. Whenever possible, I help children's shelters and the tablets for children. And in the future I would like to become part of a charity team, because I really like helping people, I’m ready to invest my strength, energy and soul in this.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

The most unusual shooting experience of the Xoxo_apurva brand in India. Departure to another city, sleepless night, large-scale preparation, location in the mountains, difficult for dressing, posing and moving. But the color of the outfits, the terrain and the atmosphere ... A talented designer and brand with all the philosophy. Not just clothes, but each outfit is handmade, the creation of which took months ... It’s nice experience, also pictures from that campaign shooting got published on Vogue India.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

My interest in life is caused by the fact that I arrange my trials and try to rise above them. Therefore, my advice, if you have chosen your way in modeling, is to believe in yourself and strive for the best.
