Can you tell us a little about you?
Hi, my name is Yana. I’m a little girl from a beautiful country Ukraine. I was born there and lived until I was 15 years old. Right now I’m 18 years old. I used to be an active and a versatile child, I had a lot of hobby. I went swimming, roller-skated, learned to ride a bike, and danced for a very long time (11 years) Also I like to learned languages. I always liked the realization that I understand another language and a huge number of new acquaintances are available to me. In 14 yards old I started to learn something about photography. That was really interesting and exited for me. When I was 15 years old I decided to move to Poland. I love Ukraine like my homeland, but I didn’t see perspectives in there. My family stayed in Ukraine but they always support me. Right now I live in Poland in the small city names Kielce. I work like a photographer for woman, couples and now started to think about weddings. Nice to meet you
If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?
I would change my life. I don’t like the way how I live now. Yes, I have money, I have work. But I don’t like that work. I feel tired and unhappy when I know that today I will go to that plays. I would like to do things which I like to do. Make photos, a short vibe videos. That’s what I want to change. I want to have more time for myself and my hobbies.
How did you start as photographer?
That an interesting story... My father likes to make photos. Different photos. Family, nature, things, food. But I never interested in this. I liked dance. I was dancing about 10 years. That was so excited for me, unlike photography. But one day my best friend decided to go to the model school. I also wanted to try something else, but I didn’t like to be a model. So my choice fell on the other side of the camera. I don’t know why, maybe because I had dad’s camera and that was easier to start. My dad gave me half year of study in photo school. In the end I started to work like a photographer, I take my first money. I was 14. That was so adorably to feel you can do things like that. Oh, my first experience was love story.
What do you think of the work as a photographer
This is my dream job. Insanely interesting and exciting. You never seem to be on the spot, constantly in development. For me, this is the ideal option as I love meeting. During all this time, I have met so many people that it just takes your breath away. They are so different, each is individual, has its own personal traits, and they look at the world differently. And how many prospects there are in this profession. You can not only take pictures of people, but then also teach, open a studio, embody all your ideas and projects. This profession is also very important for the modern world. A person perceives most of the information a person receives through sight. And we are photographers, we help to convey information to the world. It's just incredible.
What is your main goal?
It seems to me I have not yet decided exactly. Although I am sure that I really love female portraits. From the very beginning, I photographed a lot of these portraits. But I don't want to give up other types of photos. I really like to shoot objects, couples, even male portraits, I find it very entertaining. I always try myself in something new. I'm still looking. But as you can see from my photographs, I do more female portraits.
What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?
I think my good quality is that I learn very quickly. You can give me an assignment that I have never done before, and I will study everything I can to do well. And I do not make much effort, I quickly grasp what and how I need to do and I always succeed.
What are your plans for the future?
My dream is to visit the USA. Honestly, I want to live there, but right now I will try to visit and look how people live there. I really interested about their culture, history and life. I hope my hobby will help me to do that and it’s my future plan. Improve my skills and use it to do what I want. Live where I want.
What are some of your favorite experiences so far?
I have a lot of interesting experience. I could remember at least 5 really interesting and strange photo shoots. But the most existing is photo shoot in the water. That’s a small lake in my native city in Ukraine. It was summer, but it was cold. only a couple of people swam. Can you imagine a girl with blue lips in cold water and another one on top with a camera? A specific picture. It was very scary to fall and drop the camera into the water. But I still fell once and everything is fine with the camera, I just tore my shorts. Anyway, it was worth it, I would like to repeat this experience.
Do you have any advice for those who want to start?
Start with a teacher. I know a lot of people who spend 3 years just to figure out the camera settings. Really? This is a lot. I studied this for about a month. And the other 3 years I spent practice and got crazy experience from each of my shooting. Find yourself a teacher, whether online or live. Where and when. But it will make your life easier and speed up the development process. You do not need to search the entire Internet in search of the necessary information, they will tell and show you everything. I said that, because it helped me. I started with a teacher and it was the best decision in my life
What do you think of the magazine?
You are actually doing some kind of miracle. It doesn't even matter how many readers you have, in how many countries it is read, no. Personally, you have given me great inspiration and hope. I am a young, little-known photographer who lives in a small unknown city. But the fact that my activity was noticed, you found me. This gives me confidence that all this is not for nothing, I need to go further and make even more efforts to my development. Thank you very much for giving me such an impetus and helping me understand that this is not just an Instagram account, it is something more
