Interview: Model Gaia Maria Limoli (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you?

My name is Gaia Limoli and I'm 20 years old. I come from Ramacca, a little town in the province of Catania (Sicily), but I felt oppressed by that reality, so I decided to move to Milan to start studying in a beauty school and try to be a photomodel. I like books, long car journeys, my cats, the nineteenth century, decency, blankets and drinking hot tea. I like how I feel after I finish exercising, I like my cheat day, all the autumn mood, travel and many other things.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

In my mind I would change everything, but in the real world, I'd try to embrace and improve myself, in particular I am trying to enhance my body (even though many features are unfortunately not changeable) also my character in fact I am often too impulsive and this takes people away from me.

How did you start modelling?

I started as a joke, some months ago a phographer asked me to do a shooting and felt very comfortable, so from then on I have continued to pose for other photographers.

What do you think of the work as a model?

Just started but I think it's a great way to express yourself and your feelings in photos although I think this work is underestimated. I love doing photoshoots but this job can be very tough especially if you are inexperienced and unknown by other people who are part of this reality.

What is your beauty regimen?

Cliché as it sound my number one beauty must is hydration. I drink a lots of water, I try to eat most of the time healthy food, I do some fitness exercises four times a week and I clean my skin every morning and before I go to bed, performing a thorough facial cleansing every two weeks.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

Honestly don't think I have anything in particular that sets me apart from the others. I am very sincere, regardless of what I have to say, I always tell the truth. I'm a open-minded person, I don't care what people say, I'm stubborn, humble, determined when it comes to what I really want, but I'm also very insecure sometimes.

What are your plans for the future?

I’am jealous of my future plans, but I hope to be fulfilled in the workplace, to be well and to be happy.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Don't have a favorite experience yet but I think that for me each shoot is an unforgettable experience. Each photographer is a new personality, from whom you have a lot to learn and each image gives me different sensations.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Do anything you don't want to do. Don't ever let anyone tells you aren't good enough. Believe in yourself but respect your limits, be realistic, be confident and don't copy the others, find your way to express yourself in the photos.

What do you think of the magazine?

It's is really amazing, the pictures are really awesome and with good quality. I love the concept of this magazine, It's perfect to discover and begin to support new models and photographers. I'm honored to be able to be featured on it.
