Interview: Model Natalie Schjerva (Sweden)

Can you tell us a little about you?

A hotheaded ginger with a passion for travelling, fashion, food, wine and everything that brings pleasure.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I dont have any patience, with anything. Perhaps I could do something about my anger too but it has also taken me far. Can I just change my outfit instead?

How did you start modelling?

I did a shoot for a bike-magazine about 10 years ago which ended up being a middlepage spread. I felt so proud, I got a taste for it and I was stuck.

What do you think of the work as a model?

To me its my way of being creative, its an outlet and a form of therapy. You can tell a lot about how I feel by looking at my pictures.

What is your beauty regimen?

Always moisturize, avoid the sun, sleep well, train hard, use products that are not only good for you but for the environment and our animals. Everything has to be eco friendly and Peta-confirmed. But most of all, the things in life that makes you glow from within are the things that makes other people interested in you. Do what makes you happy and it will translate into the pictures.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I have a constant un-explainable hunger for more. I can win the nobelprize and I promise you, my head will alrea-dy be focused on my next goal. I always need more and Im never settled.

What are your plans for the future?

As for modelling, I have my eyes on a cover and a middlepage-spread. In my personal life I look forward to start travelling again.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Getting to work with some incredibly talented photographers and being able to create amazing photos together. When people that I admire respectfully compliments my work I always feel very humble.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

Expect criticism, even from the ones you though were in your closest circle. Dont accept it. Focus on you and what you want to get out of it.

What do you think of the magazine?

The magazine is amazing, its a great way to give a voice to both photographers and models across the world. Im honoured to be featured.
