Interview: Model Federica Colleoni (Italy)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I live in Milan with my family and my two beautiful dogs. I love dancing and to watch the television is not just zapping for me, I’m in love with movies and tv series.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I grew up hating myself, and now, the relationship between me and my body is not so great. In my mind I would change everything, but in the real world, I’d try to embrace myself and my individuality.

How did you start modelling?

I always admired the fashion world, and when I lost pounds, I tried to contact an agency, a scam. Then, I downloaded an app that gave me access to many casting, but now it became fee-paying. Today, I know new photographers through Facebook and Instagram.

What do you think of the work as a model?

I think that the real models live a dream, I mean: money, travel the world, stunning garments, but it’s very difficult to become a real model and you also need to have the right sizes. Despite the good part, I heard that is an evil world, your body is never right and you can work for a few years.

What is your beauty regimen?

I’m not so good by this point of view. I don’t eat so much, but everything I want to.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I’m very sensitive and empathetic, but also I have a very sad, pessimistic and dejected vision of the world and the life.

What are your plans for the future?

My future is completely unknown. In September I’ll start a course of fashion, and let’s start to face day by day.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

Well modeling is an amazing experience, through this I can express myself, try to embrace more my body, meet new and exquisite people and create something beautiful.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

You don’t need any kind of “society” body, I mean, if you want create something powerful, all you need is you and your background.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think is amazing that there’s a free platform to share models, photographers, ecc...., also the layout is so cool.
