Interview: Model Katerina Paciećko (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

I am Ekaterina, I’m 23 years old. Originally I’m from Belarus, but now I’m based in Poland. I moved there after finishing high school. I live in Katowice and study advertising and social communication. I want to make a career in marketing. I love dancing, watching mysterious movies and swimming.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I would like to be taller because sometimes I’m not wanted in modeling agencies because of my height. Nevertheless, people like cute little girls and it’s not a problem for me in being a model.

How did you start modeling?

I always loved posing and taking pictures, I feel really good in front of a camera. In the beginning, I did shots for myself, but later my friends started noticing my success and recommended to start modeling career. I started looking for photographers to make a good portfolio. Photographers also reach out to me themselves and invite to photo shoots. Recently I finished modeling school and decided to try myself at fashion shows.

What do you think of the work as a model?

As a model, I discover myself, different sides of mine. Modeling is my true passion, inspiration and a chance to be my better self. I love being a model, meeting new people, learning and discovering style and fashion, trying different looks and expressing emotions. It’s not always easy, but I try my best to work as hard as I can.

What is your beauty regimen?

I always try to look good. I think, that personal care is an important must for every woman. From month to month I take care of my beauty routine: I visit beauty salons and my hair, nails, eyebrows and lashed are perfect. I don’t like to put on a lot of makeup, I feel confident without it.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I am a very easy going person and I’m really nice to talk to. I like helping those who need my help: lonely people, animals in shelters. I like smiling to people on the streets because it also makes them smile and feel better.

What are your plans for the future?

I plan to graduate from university this year. I also plan to develop my acting skills to try myself as an actress. I will do more photo shoots and find more ways to express my personality.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I was very inspired when I first visited a musical festival in Amsterdam. I never felt so much positive energy and excitement in one place. Everyone was amazed, and so was I. The energy here was incredible.

I will also always remember the night in Venice, on the boat with live music. I was surrounded by nice people and felt calm and happy.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modeling?

I wish any beginner model to be confident, not to be afraid of changing and to always be yourself. Modeling business is a great opportunity to express yourself because everyone is unique. Figure out what is special about you and keep developing your special qualities.

What do you think of the magazine?

I think it’s a great chance for models, photographers, beauty artists who want to showcase themselves for the bigger audience.
