Interview: Photographer Masha Raymers (Ukraine)
Can you tell us a little about you?
I live in Lviv, Ukraine. In February I`m turning 22.
How and when did you get into photography?
I`m into photography more than 5 years. It all started when my parents give a camera on my birthday. Then it all started.
What does photography mean to you?
For me it`s definitely self-expression and opportunity to reveal exciting topics.
Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.
I think fine-art portraits best suites my works.
Where do you get inspiration from?
I usually get inspiration from other photographers and also from everything that surrounds me.
Do you think in advance what you want in the picture?
My style formed for 5 years and only after 4 years I started to imagine what I want in the image.
Studio, on location or both?
Both.
Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?
Now I`m working as a paid proffesional.
What has been your most memorable session and why?
I love all my sessions and very often it seems like a little adventure. Especially when I`m almost drowning or when me and model are hiding from guardians.
Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?
None of them. In case that I think that only your skill matters. I`m taking photos on Sony and my favorite lens is Sigma 35mm f1.4 art
What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?
Practice, practice, practice! A lot of practice for self improvement.
