Interview: Photographer Konrad Adam Mickiewicz (Poland)

Can you tell us a little about you?

Hello my name is Konrad. I was born 45 years ago in Bialystok city (eastern Poland). Now my place of choice to live is Poznan.

How and when did you get into photography?

Really don’t remember. Even as a child I had a toy camera;)

What does photography mean to you?

Photography is my live, my passion. Way to express my creativity.

Please briefly describe your photography style for our readers.

I can tell this is somehow story telling. Theatrical way of view. First is always idea...a story… then I collect props, stage, places, people to create one picture movie or play. My main type of photography is artistic, creative nude.

Where do you get inspiration from?

Inspirations lays everywhere. Books, movies, music, people on the street…

Studio, on location or both?

My stage is both on studio or locations

Would you consider yourself a hobbyist or a paid professional?

Well seems both… hobbyist or lets say amateur is a person whos passion is what he is doing… I am. But from time to time this is paid profession foe example when I am selling my photos, albums or leading a workshops.

What has been your most memorable session and why?

Well...I think I can remember almost all of them and somehow every one is special.

Nikon or Canon? Favorite lens?

Hardware does not matter. It should be transparent. Not interfering with photography. Actually I am working with digital Sony A7 series cameras and film Bronica 6x6

What is one piece of advice you would like to offer a new photographer looking to start their own business?

Dont be afraid to try and believe in your ideas;)

What do you think of our new magazine?
