Interview: Cover Girl Kristina Menissov (Model/Singer) (Kazakhstan)

Can you tell us a little about you?

Hello Modellenland Magazine, I am Kristina Menissov I am a model and a singer. I am a cover model for VOGUE Mexico, Harpers BAZAAR Vietnam, GLAMOUR Bulgaria and ELLE Arabia, L’OFFICIEL Baltic has worked with Fashion Houses as CARTIER, CHOPARD, BALMAIN, SAINT LORANT, ROBERTO CAVALLI, GIVENCHY, MICHAEL NGO, MICHAEL COSTELLO, and JOVANI DRESSES, Alersundi, VOGUE portugal published brand Karen Sabag Rever, and AREA, AFFFAIR.FFF by Rufat Ismayil, Mahrukh Akuly Jewelry, Ivan Young Official, Rita Vinieris, I have also graced the runway in LOS ANGELES FASHION WEEK and MIAMI SWIM WEEK last season walking for Nia Lynn Collection by Nicole Williams English. I have starred in TYGA'S "IBIZA" music video, modeling for CHRIS APPLETON’S YouTube Channel, and appearing in MODEL'S TALK.

If you could change anything about yourself, what would it be?

I think I am finally at the point when I am learning to accept everything about me and everything that happened to me, so I only try to be a little better everyday without fully changing in me.

How did you start modelling?

I began my career as a model in Los Angeles in 2017, I would say that the reason I did consider it professionally was my followers on social media who were always supportive and kept encouraging me.

What do you think of the work as a model?

There are aspects that I love so much about modeling, like sharing my story, getting ready for the shoot, walking the runway and like in any other work there are things that are hard on me, everytime when I have an audition and a casting to this day I learn to be better and criticize myself heavily when I don’t get the job, so I would say that is my least favorite part.

What is your beauty regimen?

That is such an interesting question because I was just sharing about it on my social media, I don’t have a specific regime, I prefer intuitive/balanced diet where I listen to my body and see what makes me feel good. With my skin routine in my daily life I don’t wear too much make up and let my skin breathe and I don’t like 10 step skin routine I prefer to make it simple.

What are your personal qualities which distinguish you from others?

I would say actually my background starting with my look and also where I come from, being from a second world country I know how to work harder than people who were raised in better conditions plus spiritual wise every step that achieve I appreciate a lot and being grateful in general makes us better and helps to achieve goals faster.

What are your plans for the future?

Right now I am focused on a beautiful project to bring awareness to a Fox and Wolfs sanctuary Judith A Bassett Canid Education and ConservationCenter.

What are some of your favorite experiences so far?

I believe a shoot for the VOGUE Magazine and Campaign for Thrive Causemetics was two of my favorite shoots to this day.

Do you have any advice for those who want to start modelling?

When start doubting yourself just keep going. After multiple rejections even the most confident of us get in their head so it is very important to keep going because you never know which one of the No’s is the last one and the career will take off.

You are also a singer can you tell us a bit more about that?

I am a former Italian trained Opera Singer, in 2020 I got signed with the famed music producer ANDREW LANE who is known for such superstars as THE BACKSTREET BOYS and IRENE CARA. Her first single, "TAKING OVER LA" was released last summer and the lyric video collaboration with VEVO got thousands of views. Another hit single with Italian DJ Marzia Dorlando entitled "BREAKOUT" is breaking records in European Night Clubs.

In 2022 I have released multiple successful singles with variety artists throughout the world, “CROWN” with Turkish singer CANSEL,

HER STORY with Tamara Kumbula and Move Your Body with NINELLE

This year I am working on my album that I plan to release at the end of the year.
